Diving in!

I have been meaning to start a real blog for a while. Our Xanga account has many limitations - so here is my first post. It is official: the Serina family is blogging.

Our blog is mainly to update family and friends who are interested in John's newest feats. Now about what is going on. John is in the midst of popping three teeth. He is already a poor sleeper (at best he wakes up only two times a night). When you add teething to the mix he wakes up every two hours, but such is early parenthood. He is also crawling and pulling up on everything. It is now past time to baby proof the house. On Sunday when I was getting ready for church he pulled the cord to my hair straightener and burned a couple of his little fingers. My heart sank when I heard the poor little scream.

Tonight we make the dreaded trip down to Houston. We will be going after our Lenten service but for a very exciting reason. My dad bought tickets to Les Miserables!!! Rick and I can't wait. My mom got a babysitter and we will have a row of nine (everyone except Josh and Heidi and Mike and Carrie). I love that play.
